Pak Choi & Oyster Mushroom
Pak choi and oyster mushrooms are very popular in China. The dish in this video is with pork. According to Guo Bian Su (semi-vegetarian) concept, meat and vegetable could be cooked together. For vegetarian, just cook without meat. Important is, the vegetable should be shortly softened in boiling water, then cook in a normal pan. This method allows cooking pak choi without a wok.
A funny glass noodle dish – Ants climb a tree
In his book ” differences ”, the ex-Chinese Ambassador to Germany, Mr. Lu, describes a dinner he hosted at the Chinese embassy in Luxenburg. Since the menu consisted mainly of seafood, a guest asked if he could get something else because he was allergic to seafood. The chef searched the whole kitchen, but he could only offer a simple Chinese dish. The dish consists of glass noodles, a bite of minced pork and colorful vegetables. It’s called ‘ants climb a tree.’ What’s interesting is all guests liked this dish. Since then, this dish has always been on the menu of the Chinese Embassy.

Fish stew with Haddock & Toufu
Cooking fish and Toufu together is typical Chinese GuoBianSu (semi-vegetarian) tradition. In this way, Toufu get the taste from fish.
Large Fried Dumpling with Chinese Chives & Comparison of Different Fillings
To find out the differences between Chinese chives and chives, in this video, from their biological difference to the different use in the kichen. For an experiment, I make four different fillings for Chinese large flat fried dumplings (韭菜盒子 jiu cai he zi), two for vegetarian and two for non-vegetarian.
